Tourmaline is believed to inspire creativity and was used extensively as a talisman by artists and writers during the renaissance through the late 1800s. It also creates a commitment towards the completion of one's goals and is said to protect the wearer against dangers.
This pendant was made for a spiritual gemini who was graduating from Columbia with her MFA in Creative Writing.
The quill tip wraps around to create a bail that the chain runs through. The back mimics the tip of a calligraphy pen with a drop of her favorite color’s ink.
